New Materials for a New Age

Welcome to 4 Trees, the market leader in sustainable structural building technologies.

By harnessing the power of pultruded composites, we're able to offer high-strength materials that are sustainable alternatives to traditional building materials such as wood, steel, and aluminium.

Benefits of Pultrusion

  • A stronger, lighter, and longer lasting solution compared to wood. High impact resistance.
  • Extremely resistant to the most aggressive weather, humidity, impact and insect infestations.
  • Pultrusions will not warp, rot and do not entertain mildew and mould.
  • No chemicals leached into the environment.
  • Easy to drill, cut, transport and assemble.
  • Corrosion resistance: Pultruded FRP composite profiles are highly resistant to corrosion and are 100% rust proof.

  • Lightweight: Pultruded FRP composite profiles are significantly lighter than steel, making them easier to transport, install, and handle. This also reduces the load on supporting structures and foundations, which can lead to cost savings.

  • High strength-to-weight ratio: Despite their light weight, pultruded FRP composite profiles  are able to withstand heavy loads and extreme weather conditions.

  • Non-conductive: Unlike steel, pultruded FRP composite profiles are non-conductive, making them safe for use in electrical and other applications where electrical conductivity is a concern.

  • Design flexibility: Pultruded FRP composite profiles can be easily designed and manufactured to meet specific requirements and specifications, including complex shapes and sizes. They can also be easily modified on-site if necessary.

  • Low maintenance: Pultruded FRP composite profiles require very little maintenance compared to steel. They do not require painting or coating, and are resistant to UV radiation, moisture, and temperature extremes.

  • Environmental benefits: Pultruded FRP composite profiles are eco-friendly and sustainable.  They also have a lower carbon footprint than steel, making them a more environmentally friendly choice

  • Corrosion Resistance: FRP profiles are inherently resistant to corrosion especially in harsh environments.

  • Lightweight: FRP profiles are typically much lighter than aluminum profiles, which makes them easier to handle and install.

  • Non-Conductive: FRP is a non-conductive material, which makes FRP profiles safer in electrical applications.

  • High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: FRP profiles can have a higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum, which makes them stronger and more durable.

  • UV Resistant: FRP profiles are typically UV resistant, while aluminum can be susceptible to UV degradation over time.

  • Design Flexibility: FRP profiles can be designed to meet specific strength and stiffness requirements, while aluminum profiles are limited by their physical properties.

  • Low Maintenance: FRP profiles require minimal maintenance, while aluminium may require regular maintenance to prevent corrosion.

  • Environmental Impact: FRP is a sustainable and environmentally friendly material, while aluminium production can have a higher environmental impact.

The Benefits

Pultruded FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) profiles offer a host of benefits over traditional materials like wood, steel, and aluminium.
Strength: Pultruded FRP profiles are incredibly strong, with a high strength-to-weight ratio. Durability: FRP profiles are highly resistant to corrosion, moisture, and UV radiation. They are also not affected by temperature extremes, making them suitable for harsh environments. Lightweight: Pultruded FRP profiles are significantly lighter than steel or aluminium, which makes them easier to handle and install and reduces transportation costs. Versatility: FRP profiles can be manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes, which allows for greater design flexibility.
Cost-effective: FRP profiles long-term durability and low maintenance requirements can result in significant cost savings over time.

Modular components

Quick & Easy to Assemble

With our proprietary connector solution, we've made it possible to construct buildings and structures in a fraction of the time it takes using traditional materials and tools.

The result is a highly efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly solution that allows for rapid construction without sacrificing quality or structural integrity.

25 year structural warranty

Unlike traditional materials such as steel or wood, FRP pultruded profiles are resistant to corrosion, rot, and decay. This inherent resistance to the elements means that FRP pultruded profiles are highly unlikely to rust or degrade over time, which allows us to offer an exceptional 25-year structural warranty.

Composite Decking

4 Trees is a leading producer of pultruded FRP decking solutions that are aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.

Our modular system makes them quick and easy to install on our pultruded high strength substructures.

Our decking is digitally printed with high-resolution wood and other finishes that are indistinguishable from the real thing. They are highly abrasion-resistant and UV-resistant, which means they can withstand exposure to the elements for many years, even under harsh outdoor conditions.

Agricultural Poles
& Structures

10 very good reasons to use 4-Trees FRP Profiles for Agricultural applications.

  1. High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Pultruded FRP composites are known for their exceptional strength while being much lighter than steel, which makes them easier to handle and less expensive to transport.

  2. Durability: These materials are very durable, suitable for heavy-duty applications, and capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions.

  3. Corrosion Resistance: FRP's inherent resistance to corrosion makes it ideal for agricultural environments.

  4. Minimal Maintenance: FRP profiles require minimal upkeep, which helps to reduce long-term costs and downtime associated with maintenance.

  5. Versatility: The pultrusion process allows for a wide range of profiles, including I-beams, channels, tubes, and more, to suit various structural needs in agriculture.

  6. Non-Conductivity: FRP is electrically non-conductive, making it safer for use in environments where electrical insulation is necessary.

  7. Lightweight and Easy to Install: Being lighter than traditional building materials, FRP profiles are easy to transport, handle, and install, reducing the need for heavy lifting equipment and simplifying construction efforts.

  8. Chemical Resistance: FRP profiles are also resistant to a wide range of chemicals making them suitable for environments exposed to fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural chemicals.

  9. Environmental Sustainability: FRP materials have a longer lifespan and lower maintenance requirements compared to traditional materials, making them a more sustainable option for agricultural infrastructure.

  10. Cost-Effectiveness: Despite the upfront cost, the long-term savings in maintenance, durability, and ease of installation make FRP profiles a cost-effective solution for agricultural applications

Small Home
Construction

4 Trees FRP profiles and our other new age building materials are ideal for tiny home construction where low weight and low cost combined with high strength is a priority.
Additionally, our modular connector system allows for rapid assembly on site with small teams and simple tools.

Solar Structures

Our Solar Structures are a ground breaking development by a team of South African experts from the Solar Industry and the Green Building Industry. These structures are proudly made in South Africa in factories in Gauteng and Western Cape.
They are built from a GRP resin-based pultruded structural material which is extremely strong, durable and weather resistant. No maintenance is required, and the materials are not prone to theft or damage.
